Fruity Pebbles

So after a 12 hour work day I came home to a nice quiet home. Rillz is out with the guys, because his friend from Hawaii is here, yeh know. I decided to make myself a gourmet meal. Decided on Fruity Pebbles. What flavor did I choose you ask? Well the new Cupcake Fruity Pebbles of course. I know you are now thinking... Wow Fruity Pebbles has a cupcake flavor now? Why yes they do.

Now I know you are asking...Well, I wonder if they are good. Let me tell you what my taste buds say, NO. They smell really good like frosting, but the taste is bland. Just taste like frosted pebbles (You know like frosted flakes or something except in pebble form). They get soggy fast and doesn't even make your milk taste delish at the end. Oh well. And should you really eat something for breakfast that has the word cupcake in it... probably not.

Something odd I AM obsessed with eating right now, though, is Capers! I love them. I even eat them plain sometimes. So good! Like fireworks for the mouth. Did you know Capers are a fruit? People mainly eat them in pickled form.

Oh ****... I mean oh crap

So this morning I woke up at 6:30. We had a friend from Hawaii coming to visit and the house was a MESS! I am good at 30 minute unclutter clean-ups. I had to work earlier than normal this morning at 8 (I normally work at 11 on thursdays). So I am so pleased with myself at how much I got done around the house. I turn on my car (with the auto remote start so not with the actual key) load my car with my purse and whatever other crap I felt I needed. Went back into the house to grab one more thing, locked the door from the inside and then shut the door. Right when the door shut I said out loud... OH ****!!!! I don't have my keys and just locked myself out of the house. I had a key hidden outside a month ago until I removed for some reason and it was in the house. Rillz was at work too and my dogs don't know how to open doors. I was freakin. I couldn't contact Rillz until I finally called that 411 thing to get the phone number to his work. I had to call the people I work for and THANK GOODNESS they were SO understanding!! Rillz is amazing and got home so I could get my keys. Thats all I needed was my keys. Everything else was already in the car. I felt so stupid, frustrated, annoyed. I got to work only 30 min. late thanks to Rillz's urgency. I thought my 12 hour shift at work today was going to SUCK! I mean it started out terrible. I get to work only to hear Jack yelling at his mom and being a pain in the neck. Oh great just add it to my day. BUT, Jack ended up being FANTASTIC today! He was great and just so adorable, even when he clogged the toilet right before bed. I didn't care. So what I thought was a day to put me over the edge turned out to be a great day! And tomorrow is Friday. WooHoo.

Happy Birthday Heidi!

Last night we celebrated Heidi's birthdays. Gunnar that morning already told Heidi what they were giving her for her birthday. It was hilarious. It is always fun getting together. Kristi, Jeff, and my parents left a little after 8. Brent, Rillz, and Ren were in deep conversation about motorcycles (at least I am assuming) and then went upstairs and we didn't see them until 10:30 so Heidi, Noelle and I talked downstairs until then. I love family!

Love my mom and dad! They are fantastic.
This is the skirt Kristi made for her. Gunnar already blabbed his mouth and told her though but she still put on a good surprised face at first.

Rillz wanted to get her a food processor. He road his motorcycle to get it and then it was so big that it didn't fit into his backpack and so had to somehow carefully drive home with it in his lap or something.

Happy Birthday Heidi!

Easter Train

On Saturday Kristi, Jeff, Gunnar, Heidi, Ren and I had plans to ride the Thunder Mountain Train. Kristi, Heidi and I performed hula for their Aloha train theme to earn free tickets for this one. The theme was Easter. There was an easter bunny and a little egg hunt when the train stopped. The train ride was about 3 hours total. Gunnar was in HEAVEN over it. He told us Thomas was working... as in the train we were on was Thomas and he had to work to take us along. There were a lot of little kids and they were all so good!

Kristi, Jeff, and Gunnar in Banks where the train stops for about a half hour.
Kristi and Jeff never get pictures of just the two of them so I took it upon myself to get some. Jeff tried to kiss Kristi in every picture at the last second. Kristi wasn't to thrilled with the idea.

On the train. What a BIG smile from the little one.
This was my favorite picture of Ren and Heidi. They didn't plan to look at each other and smile. Just sort of happend.

Can you see the snow? Looks like a sunny April day. But it was totally going through snow patches. Those white specs are all snow.

I didn't have any body to pose with so I found a nice cardboard bunny

Oh and Jeff tried to help me out too and pose with me. Check out all that snow coming down!

This one is nice of them.
Just chillin on the train

I liked this picture where you can see the long train behind us.

A close up

Gunnar and I were just sittin around and took random pictures. He thought it was great.
Oh and after the train Ren, Heidi, and I were starving! Rillz was now off work so we picked him up and all went out to dinner. Heidi picked Jalapenos because chips and salsa sounded good. When she went to the bathroom I told our server it was her birthday (because her birthday was the next day). Heidi soaked it up like a sponge. Haha... Happy Birthday Heidi!

Spending the day with my siblings was a lot of fun and I love them all!

Bedroom makeover

I need a major bedroom makeover. And with Knock off wood designs I feel empowered to make a headboard and dresser that I want. I just now decided, too, that I need to sew new bright colored curtains and make a bedspread with some cute accent pillows. Oh jeez... sounds like I am nesting without the baby part. Anyways, here are some things I am liking for my new makeover.

Headboard: Love this Farmhouse headboard with the arch. It is classified as an easy project to do. Can I (well not just I but with Rillz of course) really make this? I hope because I love it!

and then I plan to make this dresser. Right now we have two seperate tall dressers but I want a smaller longer one to replace both. For some reason I just love this one. I will have to adjust where some clothes go... but I am so willing to. So if you have never checked out http://www.knockoffwood.blogspot.com/ I highly recommend it. She shows plans for making pottery barn/west elm/crate and barrel look a likes. Such great work by her.

Ok back to my room makeover. Lets talk color... I am not set on certain ones yet but thinking of doing the gold/yellow color I painted the nightstand with maybe some brown or red or orange. Totally not sure on accent colors.

My curtains now are a tweed red fabric. The bed is red and brown. It's kinda dark and enclosed. We have two small windows and the room just needs to feel brighter.
This room is not brighter but I still can't get away from the warmer red color. Love it! I wouldn't mind doing these colors.

I like this fabric. I also like the orange scheme. I have an orange chair in the bedroom now.
I could get this in a yellow/brown or red too. Some of my comforters now are Hawaiian print. They are pretty fabrics
Ok the trendy fabrics right now... I can't get away from. I LOVE the sparrow bird and may have to sneak it in the decor. I am not sure if Rillz is so on board with the sparrow theme.

How awesome and beautiful is this fabric. YES! Love it.

This is wallpaper but can you just see it as a duvet cover. Ahh... lovely! Yes, the sparrow.

Clearly I am not so sure about fabrics for now but I will keep thinking about it and hopefully making my thoughts into my bedroom makeover. Slowly but surely. I am sure by the time I get done with the whole room the ideas will be outdated. Thats why maybe the Hawaiian fabrics may be best because in my household it won't go out of style. But I don't know, those sparrow bird prints are like heaven to my eyes! I just really love them... but Rillz... not so much. We all know the bedroom decor is a womens territory anyways so whatever I say goes... Right?!? Maybe not.

My weekend

It was a good weekend. Saturday we went and celebrated Easter at my Aunt Nancy's house. It is always a lot of fun. And this year Rillz was able to come by. The adults had an egg toss. Heidi/Ren and me/Rillz were the last ones standing. Heidi and Rens egg dropped SO many times and never broke. Cheaters. But we put up a good fight. Mine splattered all over my hands. The little ones had an egg hunt. Always a fun event. And then we all played/listened to music and us girls danced a couple songs.

The music men

Heidi hated how Ren was wearing his hat and made me take a picture. Ren didn't care what he looked like and was unwilling to wear it "normal".

The guys again

On Sunday I woke up and starting working on my side yard again getting all the weeds out so after the trees get pulled then I can plant my garden. I am way excited! I used to HATE gardening. Like really HATE it. I made every excuse to not work in the garden when I was younger. Now it is kind of relaxing... oh no does this mean I am maturing? Anyways what I hated more than gardening was worms. I am trying to get past my phobia. Really, phobia of an innocent thing that can't hurt me...YES! I really do. Everything about them FREAKS me out. I squeal a bit and then pick them up with a shovel and toss it away. Well, in my own garden I need to get over it because they are oh so common. Not only worms but slugs too. So gross. Anyways, I cleared out the weeds and cleaned it all up.

Rillz came home from work and we took the dogs on an outing for a walk in the foothills. They were so good and SO tired when we got home.

Malu got to walk without a leash because she is a great listener and stays right by us.

She is waiting for us to catch up.

It was relaxing and pretty when we got higher up. Sunday had such perfect weather!

Just another picture looking over a piece of Boise
I had a great weekend. Only 4 more work days until the next weekend!

Fantastic

What a fantastic day of couponing:
My Albertsons trip... My receipt said I saved 100% on my groceries and a manager had to come and approve the purchases. I saved $140 and after coupons paid a whopping $2.80. I think I can pay that! I got some christmas luminating starter kits for christmas presents this year. They were free with clearance and coupons and so were the refills. The head and shoulders I had to pay .50 a thing and then tax was the rest of my balance.

This was my Walgreens deal. I paid $27 but got back $30 in register rewards towards my next purchase. So I made money on these items.
