Today is the 10th day after my mom had her stroke. She was in Mercy San Juan hospital which was a stroke center and happened to be about 15 min. from Brent and Noelle's apartment. The doctors and nurses saw enough progress in my mom that they transported her to Mercy general hospital to start her physical therapy. My mom is eating mashed potatoes and other pureed soft foods. Both her eyes are staying open a little longer. And she is already signaling for my dad to go go back to the apartment. So typical. It was hard to leave Sacramento on Saturday but the physical therapist was already saying it should be about a week until she can come home to Boise. That seems soon but they know better than I do. It will be nice and reasuring when my mom comes back to Boise. She will have more support here and my dad will have more help. Brent and Noelle have been a huge support for my dad and have been getting him out of the hospital so he doesn't go crazy. Thanks for all the support and prayers from family and friends during this last week.

We went to Sacramento, CA on Thursday December 18. We had a 2 hour lay over in Portland that turned into 4 hours because of the snow. We were lucky to get out of there at all. We ate at a cafe in the airport that had the nicest workers. I have never seen airport workers that were so pleasant.
Everyone makes fun of my orange sweater. I have had it since 8th grade and still love it. It is getting worn out in the elbows and is a little small... but that doesn't stop me from wearing it!
Everyone was really tired and took a nap except for my dad, me and Kristi. We went to the store and drove around to see the area. The next day, Friday December 19, was Brent and Noelle's wedding day. We woke up and went to the temple in the morning. Daniel and I were watching Gunnar when the ceremony was going on. We went to the van and played. Daniel and Gunnar went crazy together!
Here comes barbie and ken
The bridal party. The brother-in-laws and Noelle's best friend and two sisters
Dan in a suit? I didn't think this day would happen
Kristi loves looking at pictures of herself and I had to put this one on for her because she thought she looked so good that I printed it out for her at Walmart!
The cake. The wedding colors were black, white, green and had damask pattern
This was the ceiling where the cloth all came together.
Oh goodness... Brent getting the garter
They fed cake nicely
The happy couple
The happy couple number 2
These are what I wore and Dan wore
My lovely mommy
Gunnar was wild! He danced...and danced....and danced
My dad and me dancing together! Fun
Dan on a park bench in front of St. Marys Cathedral
This sign was in China town and they spelled today with two words To Day. What crazy people.
Monday night my dad cuddling with Gunnar on the couch
Brent and Noelle opening their wedding gifts. These wafers were given to them and had expired in 2006. So funny
Brent had a huge bean bag that Gunnar loved playing on and sleeping on.
My dad was in Iraq to long and put the blanket around Gunnar to only show his eyes
When we watched T.V. or a movie Gunnar always wanted to watch Thomas Train or Cars so we set up the portable dvd player in the corner for him to watch with headphones.

For the last year I have been doing hawaiian hula. Kristi and Heidi also do it. It is so much fun and I love knowing that I am going to see my sisters every Saturday. They are so funny and the best sisters any one could ask for. We all care for each other so much... anyways we do hula and this Sunday we had a Hula Christmas Party. It was so fun. We danced our new dances for our family and friends.
Heidi waiting to go out and dance. This is one of our outfits.
This is the Keiki (kids) class performing. They are so cute when they dance.
This is me with our Pu ili's (the sticks in my hand). We do an awesome partner dance with them! Heidi is my partner and we do so well together.
My partner with her Pu ili's
Heidi and Kristi in the back practicing
This is Katie. She is our little high school hula dancer. She is funny and sat with us during dinner
Here is Tasha (on the left) and Auntie Patty (on the right). Tasha is our hula teacher and Auntie is her mom and is in charge of the whole hula group. They are just so great and make the experience wonderful. They have created a family with the hula groups.
Me just waiting to eat. Heidi and I were bored and took pictures of ourselves to see how they turned out.
Here is Heidi's best take
They had some of the hawaiian guys dress up as santa and two elves. When they came out the kids were so excited and I just about wet myself with laughter. Those were the biggest elves I have ever seen. It was so great and they were a wonderful sport.
HoHoHo. Here comes santa all the way from Hawaii
I can't wait for next years Hawaiian Party and to see how many dancers we learn in the up coming year.
